Dehku'to is a Warrior of Light, his backstory, lore, etc. follow the main story of Final Fantasy XIV very closely. That being said, what you're about to read will potentially include spoilers if you haven't gone through said story.

Alongside his twin brother, X'zucah, Dehku'to was raised without much guidance. It was hard for his adoptive family to properly raise him, and only partially due to him being a Keeper, he was naturally nocturnal, always wanting to sleep during the day and was more active at night. He would eventually start to adjust but would of course always thrive during the night. The twins were roughly only a few years old when they were left to live with their foster family in La Noscea.
Roughly ten years would pass before both Dehku'to and his brother X'zucah would go their separate ways, leaving their adoptive parents to pursue their own goals, their own dreams. Dehku'to would be come an adventurer, enlisting in the Arcanists guild in Limsa Lominsa, soon discovering that he is one of Her chosen, while his brother would take the next ship to Sharlayan and would soon work to become an Archon.Along his countless journeys, Dehku'to would face no small amount of conflict. One such conflict would result in becoming a creature of light, or rather, becoming host to one. A being of pure light aether would eventually come to lay dormant within Dehku'to's body after venturing to another reflection of the star. After being awoken, Dehku would have to contest with this creature, or else he would lose himself, and this Warrior of Light would be no more. He was able to bargain with the being, in a sense, able to find common ground, compromise. Eventually, though, a "what if" was brought up, and the Lightwarden who used Dehku'to's body as a vessel would receive an offer to obtain body of his own that he could manipulate as he pleased. This Lightwarden, known as Ica, would accept this offer, but only if Dehku'to agreed to still share a connection with each other, and that he'd still be allowed to keep Dehku safe from harm. With both parties in agreement, they'd begin putting in work to make this new vessel.

• The Lightwarden

In recent events, Dehku'to had been attacked and bitten by a nightkin creature - a werewolf. This ultimately turned him, or in other words cursed him, and he now suffers forced transformations during the full moons. He has adjusted quite quickly to these changes, but still finds his temper and other heavy emotions hard to control.

Along with his companions, Dehku'to ventured across the salt to the continent of Tural, where he participated in the Rite of Succession, helping Wuk Lamat claim the title of Dawnservant. This was only part of their endeavors though, for a greater challenge would arise. Dehku and his companions would face these threats head on, even discovering yet another reflection that had merged with the Source.

Ica is a creature that hails from a reflection of the Source known as the First. This shard was nearly completely flooded by light, creatures similar to voidsent known as sin eaters would plague the lands, rendering it unsafe for most. Lightwardens were creatures of a higher stature, one that was housed in each region would cause it to be shrouded in everlasting light. Dehku'to would be the one to put a stop to this, absorbing the aether from these lightwardens in order to bring night back to the First. In doing this, Ica would come into existence and the Warrior of Light would struggle to control this being, having to fight tooth and nail for control over his own body.Once control was gained, and that compromise would form, the pair would ultimately work together to achieve whatever goals that either of them had set, be it the same or different. There of course would be times where not everything would go as planned. Despite having this compromise, Ica was still difficult to control, and in wanting to protect its vessel, it would do anything to achieve this, even if it meant killing someone.Aside from this, Ica is not the complete monster he is made to be. He is also quite unique from other lightwardens, in that he's able to shapeshift, taking on any needed form as he pleases. He is learning much as he lives with Dehku'to and will learn much more once he is able to explore now that he is separated from the Miqo'ra.

Pronouns wise, I mainly use he/him but am also okay with they/them. I'll respond to Dehku, Noctis, or Dusk since that's part of my username. I generally roleplay more mature themes, that being said I'm strictly 18+/21+ both IC and OOC. I'm also pretty okay with most themes but definitely ask before hand!
